The Chief Minister convened a strategic meeting with development partners at the State House Conference Room to review progress on implementing the Tripartite Committee’s recommendations.

Reaffirming the government’s steadfast commitment to constitutional and electoral reforms, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of transparency and inclusivity throughout the process.

National Coordinator Ngolo Katta updated attendees on key milestones, highlighting that 17 recommendations are scheduled for Cabinet approval early next week. Additionally, amendments to the Public Elections Act and the Political Parties Regulation Commission Act are currently under review.

The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) has initiated strategic planning efforts, stakeholder consultations, and preparations for a national dialogue focused on electoral system choices.
Development partners, including the European Union, UNDP, and the U.S. Embassy, pledged continued support for public information campaigns and strengthened interagency coordination.
The Tripartite Secretariat will maintain active engagement with political parties, civil society organizations, and the media to ensure the reform process remains inclusive and participatory.
